I was in denial last week when fellow SOSer One Man and his Garden Trowel posted cyclamen, but it’s true. Time marches on and I find that I also have cyclamen to share this week. Only a tiny one but it does show that plants just do their thing and when the time is right they flower again. It was a bit of a scrabble to find six things but here they are.
One

Here’s a rarity this year. The alchemilla mollis with pearl drops of rain. Yes, at last I have had some rain. While it still hasn’t been enough to fill the water butt, I’m sure there are many plants in the garden that are very grateful.
Two

Here’s the tiny cyclamen. A little star amongst all the brown that is most of the garden now.
Three

Another sign of change, the hylotelephium are just beginning to take on their Autumn colours.
Four

I found this blue jewel lurking around the allotment end of the garden.
Five

I tend to overlook the heucheras which is a sure sign that they just get on with things of their own accord. I have completely failed to record the name of this one.
Six

Lastly the rose ‘Blush Noisette’. This is a comeback star. For unknown reasons this one of a pair just faded away last year. I cut it to the ground and hoped. Here it is putting out flowers again and starting the climb back up the wall.
That’s a quick six from me. I’d like to be thinking about what to move and what to divide but there’s more rain needed before I start any of that. It will be interesting to see what comes through for next year so maybe it is time to just sit back and wait. Jim continues to amaze with his Mary Poppins’s magic bag of a garden. What will he pull out this week? Stop by at Garden Ruminations to find out. Happy gardening everyone.
I’m pleased that you have had rain too, the garden will be sucking it all up. Lovely last rose, well rescued. I do love a cornflower, usually I have some self seeded but nothing has appeared this year in the desert. Such a wonderful blue.

You have included so many of my favourites! Sedum, heuchera and Alchemilla. Also, you’ve reminded me to feature some of them next week.
I’m happy that I’ve found you again here, a chara.
